The 7th meeting of the Thyroid School was held on 18.03.2014 at the Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University Department of General Surgery. The main topic of the meeting was the principles of safe thyroidectomy and intraoperative nerve monitoring, two panels and a live broadcast of a total thyroidectomy surgery were made, and the detailed program is given below. We would like to thank the OMU Department of General Surgery for hosting the meeting, the head of the department, Prof. Dr. Kenan Erzurumlu, and all the faculty members of the department who supported the meeting, the operating room personnel for their technical support, and Fan Medika for their nerve monitoring equipment support. The 8th meeting of the thyroid school is planned to be held on 01.04.2014 at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University.
