The symposium took place in an interactive discussion environment with the participation of surgeon, internist, endocrinologist and pathologist colleagues from Uşak and surrounding provinces. After the first part where nodules were discussed and the technique of intraoperative nerve monitoring and its contributions to thyroidectomy were presented, strategies to reduce complications in thyroidectomy were discussed following the live surgery performed in the afternoon.
